The victorious D’Tigress team today presented their FIBA Afrobasket Trophy which they won in Senegal last week to the new minister Mr Sunday Dare in Abuja.

The presentation took place during a courtesy visit to the newly inaugurated Minister of Youth and Sports , Mr Dare Sunday in his office in Abuja.

President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation Engr Musa Kida who accompanied the girls alongside some other board members said the courtesy call was to celebrate the 2019 Afrobasket feat with him .

“We are so glad as a federation that we are the first to welcome the new minister to office with a trophy which we won in Senegal. It is a landmark achievement as we have been presented with such a golden opportunity to interface personally with the Honorable Minister.”

The brief ceremony was witnessed by the Permanent Secretary Mr Olusade Adesola and some management staff of the Ministry.

D’Tigress players were represented by Sarah Imovbioh and Kunaiyi Pallas Akpannah as well as the Vice President of the federation Babatunde Ogunade, International representative, Col Sam Ahmedu(Rtd) and Alhaji Abba Kaka.
